Protein foam concentrate “Bio-Froth” is manufactured in South Africa under the LBT Power South Africa license. Bio-Froth is intended for producing technical foam used in making various grades of foam concrete.
The volumetric weight of foam concrete can range from 100 – 1800 kg/m3. Bio-Froth is entirely protein, providing better foam stability characteristics in the cement mortar and, most importantly, higher strength properties of foam concrete. It allows you to get very high-quality fine-porous foam concrete.
Physical Properties
BIO-FROTH is a non-transparent dark brown, free-flowing liquid
Density at 20 C˚ – 1100 – 1150kg/m3
pH = 6.8 to 7.2
Freezing temperature – minus 2 C˚
Foamer properties do not change after defrosting. Guaranteed storage life of 12 months in the original packaging at -10°C to +28°C, excluding direct sunlight.
Toxicity – Environmentally friendly product.
Preparation and use of Bio-Froth foaming agent
The concentrate must be manually stirred before each filling from the factory packaging. The concentration of the working solution is 2.5 – 3.0%, i.e., 1 l of foaming agent is diluted with water at a ratio of 1:40 to 1:33, respectively.
Foam expansion: 15 – 20. Foam resistance in cement mortar: min. 98%. Foamer consumption per one cubic meter of foam concrete with a density of 800 – 1 liter. Syneresis ( first drop release): min. 10 min
The foam solution is prepared as follows:
Fill a cubic tank with 975 liters of water;
Add 25 liters of Bio-Froth protein blowing agent into the tank and mix thoroughly;
Set up your foam generator to produce foam with a density of 60 – 80 g/litre and start the production of the foam concrete.

FOAM-MASTER FOAM GENERATOR
Our FOAM-MASTER foam generator is made to produce up to 400 liters per minute of foam of the intended density used in foamed concrete production.
The ordinary drum concrete mixer, Fiori mixer, and conventional truck mixers can be used to mix concrete slurry with pre-manufactured foam. By doing that, you can effectively produce lightweight concrete with densities from 700kg/m3 up to 1800kg/m3, following the procedure below:
- Prepare concrete slurry in the drum mixer
- Set up the foam generator to the required foam density.
- Adjust the timer to produce the necessary volume of foam.
- Pump foam into a mixer using a timer.
- Mix concrete slurry with foam to achieve the target density of foam concrete.
- When concretу is ready, use the peristaltic or progressive cavity pump to deliver lightweight concrete to the placement site.
